During the
Antarctic campaign 2005-2006 we did fieldwork on Johnsons and Hurd glaciers, Livingston Island, with logistic support from the Spanish Antarctic Station Juan Carlos I. The participating team members were Santiago Reguero (first phase) and Carmen Molina (second phase). The glaciological works included snow pits, differential GPS positioning (for velocity computations) and accumulation-ablation measurements on the net of poles covering Johnsons-Hurd, regular maintenance of this net, DGPS positioning of the glacier fronts, measurement of photogrammetry control points on Las Palmas side lobe of Hurd glacier, positioning of the snow line at the end of the melting season and geomorphological observations.
