Our fieldwork during the Antarctic campaign 2006-2007 was done in Livingston Island, with logistic support from the Spanish Antarctic Station Juan Carlos I. The participating team members were Jaime Otero (UPM) and Yury Macheret (IGRAS), during the first phase, and Francisco Navarro (UPM) and Jaume Calvet and David García (UB), during the second phase. The fieldwork was developed in different areas of the island. In Bowles plateau we did low-frequency (20 MHz) and high- frequency (200 MHz) measurements aimed at determining the ice thickness and the thickness of the firn layer. The glaciological works done on Johnsons and Hurd glaciers included snow pits, differential GPS positioning (for velocity computations) and accumulation-ablation measurements on the net of poles covering Johnsons-Hurd, regular maintenance of this net, photogrammetry of the glacier fronts, and scanner-laser (Lidar) measurements at the glacier fronts of Sally Rocks and Argentina and Las Palmas side lobes of Hurd glacier. The latter type of measurements were also done at different locations in the island, including Hannah Point, Memorable Point and Walker Bay. Additionally, during the first phase a new automatic weather station was deployed on Johnsons glacier in collaboration with INM, being Manuel Bañón and José Vicente Albero responsible for such task.
